Business Operations Manager

Sendio's Business Operations Manager will work with a small team of senior executives responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive growth. Reporting to the VP of Finance and Administration, the manager must be able to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

What this means: emphasis is placed on finding answers and achieving results, quickly and efficiently, in a self-directed fashion. Ability to prioritize carefully and do only theanalysis required to support specific business objectives. The Business Operations Manager will be highly visible within the company, working with all departments including sales, marketing, finance and operations. Types of work fall into four major categories:

1. Strategic: analyze markets, channels and distribution partners. Understand competitive dynamics, value chain, risks and opportunities. Develop, support and recommend strategies to support business objectives.
2. Financial analysis: model financial implications of strategic choices. Analyze financial results and identify issues and opportunities.
3. Business planning: create sales targets and operating objectives for specific channels and geographies. Expense planning and analysis.
4. Project planning and management: ensure that strategies become reality by developing detailed implementation plans. Maintain these plans and track progress against them. Assist in implementation when required.

The Business Operations Manager position represents a unique opportunity to turn strategy into action, to work closely with senior management at a high-profile and fast-growing company, and to gain exposure to a variety of business areas including strategy, sales, marketing, operations and finance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-3 years work experience in an analytically intensive role - top tier management consulting background strongly preferred.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical abilities. Ability to break complicated and amorphous issues into discrete conceptual pieces. Facility with excel; ability to model business problems in a logical, detailed and efficient structure that drives insights.
  • Self-directed: structures work independently to achieve objectives. Catches errors before presenting to others. Recognizes and raises relevant issues that have been missed.
    Resourceful: finds practical solutions to challenging problems when the best course of action is unclear. Excellent first-party and third-party research abilities.
  • Efficient and organized: able to manage a large number of projects simultaneously in a productive fashion.
  • Energetic and motivated: in an entrepreneurial environment without much support, willing to do what is required to achieve objectives.
