How does the Sender Address Verification (SAV) Process work?

When someone sends an e-mail to you for the first time, the Sender’s name and e-mail address appear in the Sendio ESP Message Queue as a Pending message. You do not need to take any action. The Sender automatically receives the SAV Request asking to identify her validity as a sender. Refer to the User Guide for an example of a SAV Message. When the Sender receives the SAV Request, he or she simply responds to the message by pressing “Reply” and "Send”. Once the Sendio ESP receives the Sender’s reply, the message is delivered to the user. The sender address is also added to the user Account Contacts tab which ensures that all future messages from the sender are immediately delivered without having to go through the SAV process again.SAV can be enabled for the entire system by setting it to "Enabled" under the Web Interface > System > Options tab. It can also be selectively enabled or disabled by modifying the setting under the Options tab of a Domain or (user) Account.
