Directory Synchronization & Account Management
Users receive a "Login failed, could not connect to user directory" when trying to access the Sendio web interface?
The error "Login failed, could not connect to user directory" is generally related to the Directory configuration in the Sendio web interface. From the Sendio web interface navigate to the Directories section and open the corresponding directory entry. One of two configuration options may be incorrect.
- Confirm the Directory Host is listed as an IP address and the IP address points to a Windows Domain Controller which is also a Global Catalog.
- Confirm the Login and Password are still correct. It is common to have the password of the Login account be forced to change periodically by Windows Domain password policies.
Another possibility exists when adding a new Windows 2008 domain controller. The default policy for the Windows 2008 Domain Controller is to NOT allow incoming LDAP connections from non-approved sources. Please refer to Windows documentation on how to allow incoming connections from the internal IP of your Sendio appliance.
