IRVINE, Calif. - April 3, 2007 - Sendio (sendio.com), an enterprise email security company enabling businesses of any size to block all forms of unwanted email, viruses, phishing and botnet attacks through a Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) system, today announced that Tim Lee-Thorp has joined the company as Vice President of Marketing and Kevin Bowyer has joined as Senior Vice President of Sales. Both are based in the company’s headquarters in Orange County and will report to CEO Kelly Anderson. “Having these two industry veterans become part of our team is an important step in our growth in the messaging security space,” says Anderson. “Our I.C.E. Box appliance has been independently validated as providing the best anti-spam solution on the market. The focus now is on increasing the market awareness of Sendio’s products and their benefits, and expanding a sales channel that can deliver solutions worldwide. Bowyer joins Sendio after serving as President and CEO of Cogent Global Services, a global sales outsourcing company focused on developing global sales/marketing strategies for early stage technology companies. Previously he was President of USA sales for Mitel Networks, where he created and implemented an innovative sales plan that dramatically increased year-over-year enterprise revenues leveraging channels and partners. From 1984 to 2002 Kevin held senior-level sales positions at Nortel Networks, including President of Worldwide Enterprise Professional Services and Group Vice President for Enterprise Networks, successfully building the Global Accounts and Channel sales organization for the Caribbean and Latin America regions. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Windsor (Ontario), and also completed the Executive Leadership Program in International Marketing at Columbia University. Lee-Thorp brings more than 25 years of successful tactical and executive experience in marketing, product management and business development, and specializes in understanding the complexities of building viable channels and vertical market solutions. After starting his career as an engineer, Tim served as group manager of distributed systems at Network General Corporation before becoming the first marketing staff member at Remedy Corporation. There he served as PLM, manager of business development and as “corporate evangelist” through a successful IPO. Lee-Thorp then served as VP of Marketing at Picazo Communications (acquired by Intel) and at Filanet (acquired by F5), and as Director of eBusiness Solutions at Nortel Networks. He also served as VP of Marketing at Routescience Technologies (acquired by Avaya), Mistletoe Technologies and Syncvoice Communications. Lee-Thorp holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science with Honors from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. About Sendio
