When a Sendio user receives a message from an unknown sender for the first time, that sender will be “challenged,” via a return email, requesting a confirmation that they are a real person and not an automated spam computer process. The sender responds by simply replying to the challenge message with two mouse clicks. Once that is done, the original message is forwarded directly to the Sendio user’s Inbox, and, from then on, all subsequent messages from that sender will be delivered immediately. Since the business model of true spammers requires them to remain anonymous, they will not respond to the “challenges” (or else put their illegal businesses at risk), so none of their messages ever get through.
