Before you can understand and evaluate a product, you must first understand (and agree with) the problem the product is supposed to solve.
Email was once called "the killer app of the Internet" - but it took almost no time for the "bad guys" to start abusing this wonderful open communications tool. They harvested email addresses and then started blasting thousands and then millions of "unsolicited commercial email" messages out across the Internet. Direct marketing run amuck.
Fortunately, legitimate (and even semi-legitimate) businesses got smart ...

Given that the "problem" of protecting your email system from attacks and abuse can be summarized into two simple elements:
- block all messages from bogus senders
- block all messages that include malicious components (e.g. viruses and trojans)
...while not impacting legitimate senders, it turns out that the solution is actually rather straightforward.

Sendio solves the problem very effectively, but every other vendor that claims to fix email abuse says you need a "filter". Why is that ?
