Standards
Sendio's E-mail Security Platform (ESP) supports a variety of standards based technologies to ensure that e-mail security is robust. In addition to the vastly superior SAV technology, the ESP prevents phishing and spoofing of the domains under management.
- DKIM: Domain Keys Internet Mail is a cryptographic means of securing a domain through RSA signatures. This IETF standard is already being adopted by gmail and other large corporations to completely eliminate phishing and spoofing from internet mail. Offloading the internal mail server of this function only underscores the importance of the ESP in any secure IT environment.
- SPF: Sender Policy Framework is another DNS based policy implementation to prevent spoofing of one’s domains by enforcing an IP address match to the Sender Address of an e-mail. The ESP can not only verify this SPF match, but can also contain an on-board SPF engine to allow you as a user to specify an IP address against a known contact in the case that the SPF record is not deployed!
- TLS: Transport Layer Security is a means of securing communications over the Internet. In order to complete an end-to-end secure conversation and restore faith in e-mail as a business communications modality, Sendio's ESP support both SMTPS and STARTTLS for e-mail encryption.
