How the Sendio solutions are Implemented
Hosted
Your solution is hosted in Sendio’s data center and you have a dedicated web-based management interface and a dedicated public IP address for your inbound and outbound email flows. Your domain’s inbound email is routed through the Sendio data center via a DNS MX record change and legitimate email is then forwarded to your on-site mail server. Outbound email is routed via a Smarthost or relay setting in your mail server through Sendio’s data center. Sendio keeps an up to date snapshot of valid email addresses in your organization via an LDAP sync to your onsite LDAP directory.
Appliance
Sendio offers three dedicated hardware appliance models (ESP166, ESP360, and ESP400). More information can be found in “Solutions” section. The Sendio appliance is typically installed inside your corporate firewall. DNS MX records are set to route all inbound email traffic to the Sendio appliance first. All legitimate inbound email is then forwarded by Sendio’s appliance to your internal mail servers. Outbound email is routed via a Smarthost or relay setting in your mail server through the Sendio appliance and out to the Internet. The Sendio appliance keeps an up to date snapshot of valid email addresses in your organization via an LDAP sync to your onsite LDAP directory.
Virtual Appliance
Sendio delivers our appliance solution on a DVD which can be easily installed as a VMware® guest in your VMware® environment. Your VMware® host must support x-86 32 bit. Maximize your VMware® infrastructure and reduce hardware and rack space costs via virtualization.
